Groups identify flaws in Korea’s aid, saying it appears to have been thrown together for Pres. Park’s recent trip to Africa

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism (MCST), Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs (MAFRA), and the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW) announced the Korea Aid program, which was heavily publicized by the government as a “new South Korean model of official development assistance (ODA).” With President Park Geun-hye’s recent visit to Africa, the said program is running into fierce objections from groups involved in international development assistance efforts.
